Since the selection process is ongoing, it’s no suprise that there appears to be constant changes and re-shuffling going on in the background. Silveria WAS supposed
to be taking the position of Minister of Education. However, according to the political grapevine, Silveria has decided to remain in Parliament, and instead wants to appoint Antonio Aventurin, a huge Silveria supporter during the elections, to the position.
When it comes to political heresay, readers must be able to discern what is blogged as fact, and what is blogged as conjecture. When you read words like “grapevine”, “rumor”, “melee”, “alleged”, “supposed” etc, you’re supposed to be able to recognize that it’s mostly conjecture.
Everything posted is based on sources, however- like I said, the whole appointment process is in constant motion.
There are/were several people lined up for appointments, but they simply can’t/couldn’t pass the vetting process.
There are many agencies who collect confidential info in St Maarten. From the VDSM, the Lands Recherche, The Prosecutors Office, The Police, The Dutch, The Yu-Korsou’s etc etc….
There are some people who thought/think that their indiscretions were well hidden, but in the vetting process, many things that were done in the darkness, are now coming to light.
Some want to remain Parliamentarians, or to take other positions, because they don’t want to undergo the vetting process.
The the vetting process the screening includes finances, criminal records, are all opened for scrutiny.
